SunTrust selects Mullen after review


SunTrust Banks has selected Mullen as its new AOR, which will encompass advertising and integrated brand communications responsibilities. Mullen’s offices in Wenham, MA and Winston-Salem, NC will handle creative, media and digital for the bank. The decision follows a review that included three finalists.

Young & Rubicam had been the previous lead creative agency. The media incumbent was Maxus New York. SunTrust spent $50 million in domestic media last year according to TNS.

"Ultimately, Mullen’s presentation and ideas meshed best with our strategy and goals for conveying the brand image and value proposition SunTrust offers clients and potential clients. Jane Bedford of The Bedford Group, an Atlanta-based strategic marketing and management consulting firm, led the review process.
