The most-watched TV program ever, the latest Super Bowl, powered Fox to an easy weekly ratings win across the demos. It claimed the week’s top five programs in 18-49: the Super Bowl, the postgame show, the special “Glee” which followed and both nights of “American Idol.”
The Super Bowl boost was so strong that Fox moved into the lead, season-to-date, in the 18-49 demo. While it trails last year as of Week 20, when Fox had an average 18-49 rating of 3.6 and a 10 share, it now stands at 3.4/9, ahead of CBS at 3.0/8.
For the week, Fox claimed an 18-49 rating of 11.5 and a 29 share. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay back in second place was CBS at 1.9/5, then ABC 1.8/5, NBC 1.7/5, Univision 1.3/4, CW 0.9/2, Ion, Telemundo and TeleFutura 0.4/1 and Azteca America and EstrellaTV 0.1/0.
In Households, Fox was at 14.4/23, CBS 5.7/9, NBC 3.7/6, ABC 3.6/6, Univision 1.8/3, CW 1.2/2, Ion 0.8/1, Telemundo 0.5/1, TeleFutura 0.4/1 and EstrellaTV and Azteca America 0.1/0.
Here are the week’s top 20 shows.
