You knew that the Super Bowl broadcast on Fox was the week’s top program – indeed, the 2nd most watched TV program of all time – but Fox also made a clean sweep of the top seven spots in Nielsen’s Household ratings for the week. The network claimed an astounding average HH primetime rating of 16.4 and 26 share, with CBS in 2nd place at 4.7/7. From there it was ABC and NBC in a tie at 4.2/7, Univision 1.7/3, CW 1.4/2, MyNetworkTV 0.9/1, Telemundo 0.6/1, Ion 0.4/1, TeleFutura 0.3/1 and Azteca America 0.1/1.
The story was much the same in the 18-49 demo, with Fox dominating at 12.9/32, with #2 ABC mustering 2.3/6. The rest of the field lined up NBC, CBS, Univision, CW, a tie by Telemundo and MyNetworkTV, TeleFutura and a tie by Azteca America and Ion.
