Survivor 19 bows strong

Viewers haven’t tired of the “Survivor” franchise. CBS bragged that the debut of “Survivor: Samoa” on Thursday (9/17) won its time slot across the major demos. This is the 19th iteration of “Survivor” on CBS.


The Eye net proudly declared that “Survivor: Samoa” won its time period in viewers, adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and tied for first in adults 18-34. Survivor, it noted, topped the season premieres of “Saturday Night Live Weekend Update” and “Parks and Recreation” on NBC and “Bones” on Fox in key demographic measures.

According to the Nielsen Overnights, Survivor was first in households (6.8/11), viewers (11.66 million), adults 25-54 (4.6/13), adults 18-49 (3.6/11) and adults 18-34 (2.4/08).
