Tugart Properties LLC, headed by Douglas Sutton and M. Terry Carter, has a pair of deals that will add an AM and an FM to its holdings in unrated portions of Georgia. Sutton already owns half of the FM. That would be WZGA-FM Helen GA, coming from Sorenson Southeast Radio. Tugart will pay $705K to acquire full ownership of the station, which it has been running in an LMA since 3/17/06. The other station is WALH-AM Mountain City GA, coming from Mountain City Broadcasting for $70K. Other Sutton/Carter stations in the area include WNEG-AM Toccoa, WRBN-FM and WNGA-AM CP in Clayton GA, and an LMA for WGHC-AM in Clayton.
