Synacor, which powers personalized homepages and online entertainment services for high-speed Internet subscribers, has struck a deal with Mediacom to offer TV Everywhere services for Mediacom subscribers. The nation’s eighth largest MSO will be able to offer users Synacor’s best-of-breed technology solutions to deliver the next generation of video, news, gaming and other content and services across multiple digital platforms.
The multiple video sources from a variety of programmers feed a single, seamless and intuitive user experience. TV Everywhere gives programmers and affiliates flexibility in delivery of content, enabling them to work with their choice of video hosting partners without disrupting the consumer experience.
Delivery is via video distribution formats including encoded assets, embedded video players, chromeless video players, and content retrieved from deep links into programmer websites. Mediacom subscribers will access TV Everywhere content from the Mediacom portal atwww.mediacomtoday.com or from enabled programmer websites.
