The Radio Affinity Metric Task Force has selected the Broadcasters Foundation of America to receive a $15,000 donation to be made on its behalf by Arbitron. The Task Force, comprised of radio and advertising industry leaders, was formed this past September to explore the development of a metric that captures audience “affinity” with their radio stations.

In a vote, the Task Force selected the Broadcasters Foundation because of the charity’s unique mission of helping broadcasters in need.

“We are very grateful to the Affinity Metric Task Force for selecting the Broadcasters Foundation as the charity to receive this generous contribution. We are also very appreciative of the many good works by Arbitron in support of our mission and for underwriting this donation,” said Jim Thompson, President of the Broadcasters Foundation of America.  “

“This collaborative effort between the Task Force and Arbitron in support of an industry charity is a positive reflection of the spirit of partnership and collaboration in which the team has been working. The Broadcasters Foundation provides vital support to people in the broadcast industry who need a helping hand,” said Alton Adams, Arbitron, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.
