GatesAir, formerly part of Harris Broadcast and providing over-the-air broadcast solutions for television and radio, welcomes Ted Nahil as business development manager, Intraplex products, Americas.  The announcement marks Ted’s return to the GatesAir family, preceded by a successful six-year run in Intraplex sales at Harris Broadcast.  He will report to Mark Goins, director of transmission sales, Americas, with a customer-first focus on broadcast and public safety markets.

Ted’s return comes at a time of dynamic, transformational change in the industry, as the number of broadcasters transitioning to IP transport quickly accelerates.  GatesAir is helping its customers quickly transition to next-generation networks and architectures through recent GatesAir IP-based innovations across its Intraplex portfolio, including its IP Link™ codec range.

“IP transport of audio is well-established, cost-efficient for customers, and critical to our development moving forward,” said Nahil.  “As broadcasters retire aging legacy equipment, we are in an excellent position with IP Link and other Intraplex products to help them transition and discover new opportunities.”

Ted will work to position Intraplex as a leader of IP, RF and T1/E1 transport solutions across the broadcast industry, including television.  Additionally, he will work with the Intraplex team to develop business in the public safety sector, where Intraplex products are routinely used for emergency response.
