TEGNA’s Q3 Earnings Preview: Looking ‘Strong’

0

It’s been a noteworthy week for TEGNA, and not for the best of reasons. The broadcast media company formerly known as Gannett finds itself in a potential legal fight over whether or not its KUSA-9 in Denver is responsible — even in the slightest way — for the death of a protestor on Saturday, at the hands of an unlicensed contractor who served as a security agent for a station news crew on behalf of Pinkerton.

While questions will persist for months on whether or not civil charges will be filed against TEGNA and KUSA-9, and if costly legal bills loom, one thing regarding TEGNA seems to be certain: its third-quarter 2020 results are downright peachy.
