Telemundo Communications Group is teaming up Ford to launch “Amores de Luna,” a branded TV, online and mobile advertising campaign in the form of a mini-series, which will begin airing July 7th, 2008 on Telemundo’s KVEA-Los Angeles, WNJU-New York and WSCV-Miami.
Amores de Luna will consist of a 22 Episode Mini-Series which will include an alternate ending that viewers will vote on for the 21st episode. The episodes will air for an entire month, Monday-Friday, after the 11pm local newscast in each participating market starting on July 7th and will be available online at each station’s website the next morning.
"This program brings together facets that we are confident will engage consumers – an alluring novela story, unique Ford Flex product integration, and multiple communication touch points," said David Rodriguez, Ford Multicultural Marketing Manager. "The ablility to connect with consumers via this unique platform matrix with Telemundo will help us introduce the Ford Flex cross-over in a compelling and truly culturally relevant manner."
Featured with a "starring" role is Ford’s newest cross-over vehicle, Flex. On air, the vehicle is organically integrated into scenes throughout the series. In addition, a customized microsite will feature a splash page with a "Meet the Flex" section for users to get an upclose and personal look at the new vehicle and its exciting features.
Amores de Luna is the story of Cecilia Marquez, a beautiful, brilliant woman who seems to have it all: a happy marriage, two wonderful children and a stable job. But there is one important thing in her life that she’s missing — the opportunity to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a writer. When that opportunity presents itself, she meets a handsome young author who will become her mentor and will inevitably fall in love with her. Will she put her marriage at risk for the sake of her dream? Only time will tell…and in the end, the viewers will determine her fate.
Viewers from the three participating station markets will have a chance to enter a sweepstakes by going online to the station websites for a chance to win a round-trip for two to Miami to meet the cast of Amores de Luna. The package includes airfare, hotel accommodations for two nights, spending money and access to a VIP Finale viewing party. There will be one winner per market.
