Telemundo upfront to be IMAX experience

No doubt the 2010 Census results showing the English-speaking Latino community to be the fastest-growing segment of the U.S. population will be highlighted: Telemundo Communications will hold its upfront presentation 5/17 at 6pm in the LeFrak IMAX Theater at the American Museum of Natural History NYC. The multimedia Spanish-language media company will continue to evolve its client development meetings strategy into “The Telemundo Idea Lab,” which will identify unique and effective ways clients can integrate their brands into original programming across properties including Telemundo network, stations, telemundo.com, Telemundo Mobile, mun2 and mun2.tv. The network calls these development meetings “ideation sessions.”

Presenters will include Don Browne, President of Telemundo, and Jacqueline Hernandez, Telemundo COO.

RBR-TVBR observation: Si TV last month tapped 15-year Telemundo Networks advertising vet (SVP/Network and Digital Sales) Craig Geller to head its on-air and digital ad sales. It will be interesting to see how clients and agencies work with Telemundo this time around, as Geller instrumental in their upfronts since the mid-90’s.
