TV RemoteIn today’s collection of items, the LPTV community makes it is case overseas, two companies are already on the schedule for the next round of results conference calls, and Time Warner invests in Europe.


* The Advanced Television Broadcasting Alliance took its case for preserving LPTV service during the incentive auctions process international. ATBA’s Louis Libin presented his case to the ITU WPA-6 Terrestrial Broadcasting Delivery Conference at the International Telecommunications Union in Geneva Switzerland.

* The echoes of quarterly results haven’t stopped ringing on the conference call lines of the US and already CBS has set up its next one. It will convene with analysts and investors Thursday 2/12/15 at 4:30 PM eastern to discuss Q4 and full year 2014 results.

* Cable programmer Discovery Communications has also made its plans for Q4 results revelations. It will hold its conference call Thursday 2/19/15 at 8:30 AM eastern.

* Time Warner is providing credit support for CME, a broadcast network company serving Central and Eastern Europe. The move, which Moody’s says will have no effect on its rating, is underpinning TW’s 49.9% stake in the company.
