Wells Fargo SecuritiesIn today’s collection of items, Sinclair can’t catch a break on Wall Street; NBCU content is on sale online; TW is kicking tires Down Under; and Rentrak ups its relationship with a client.


* From the go figure department: Wells Fargo analyst Marci Ryvicker was astonished by market reaction to Sinclair Q3 results to the point of saying “no comprendo” – She listed eight positives and asked Wall Street why it took the good news and delivered a 4% stock hit.

* NBCUniversal has licensed 1,000 moves and 210 season collections of television shows to Kaleidescape for sale on the internet. It will bring Kaleidescape Store totals to 8,500 movies and 1,600 TV seasons available for download.

* Struggling Australian Ten Network is attracting attention. A report from Details says Time Warner may spend $588M on a takeover bid for the broadcast net, and Discovery is also said to be showing interest.

* Rentrak earned the ratings business of seven Wiegel Broadcasting television stations and renewed service for two more. The seven are in Chicago and Milwaukee and the renewals are in South Bend.
