Heinz famously has 57 products, and now Glenn Beck’s Fox News Channel program is said to have lost 57 advertisers. FNC says that the clients are staying with the channel, just avoiding the program, which is enjoying a surge in viewership even as the sponsors hightail it in the opposite direction. BTW, other than a coincidental and temporary association with the number “57,” we know of no other connection between Heinz and Beck.
RBR/TVBR observation: The actual number of lost advertisers is arguable, but the fact that there is a problem is undeniable. And we would have thought the situation would have stabilized by now.
