The Bobby Bones Show raises $20,000 for student

Bobby BonesPremiere Networks’ The Bobby Bones Show and his band The Raging Idiots led listeners in raising more than $20,000 in less than one week to support Alexa Hickman, a Chattanooga, TN high school student diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer.

Alexa’s family reached out to Bobby in search of guidance on how to raise funds for medical care, and after learning Hickman’s mom was forced to quit her job to care for Alexa, Bones launched the campaign encouraging donations to alleviate some of the family’s financial burden. Last week, Alexa joined Bones and the Raging Idiots in-studio to sing a song the two wrote together, entitled Proud of Who We Are.
