The Fed’s Economic Outlook: Direct Delivery To CFOs


The senior economist and economic advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago will offer the opening keynote and present his economic outlook at an upcoming event specifically tailored to media industry financial officers set for early March in Fort Lauderdale.

William. A. Strauss will present his findings at the Media Financial Management Association’s  2019 CFO Summit.

The event is scheduled for March 7-8, 2019 at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale.

Strauss is known for research presentations that include analysis of the manufacturing sector, the automotive sector, the Midwest regional economy, the trade-weighted dollar, business cycles and Federal Reserve payments operations.

Insights in these areas impact advertising and spending, and are of particular interest to media CFOs. As such, his discussion will focus on these subjects.

“William brings a wealth of knowledge in the manufacturing and automotive sectors that will be easily transferable to media,” said Mary M. As a senior economist and economic advisor in the economic research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Strauss organizes the Bank’s Economic Outlook Symposium and Automotive Outlook Symposium. In addition, he conducts industrial and manufacturing roundtables throughout the year. He currently teaches at DePaul University Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, and at the University of Chicago Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies.
