In June 2022, Cari Hernandez, a 25-year veteran news producer and documentary maker while at WFOR-4 in Miami, was promoted to News Content Director at TEGNA‘s flagship television property, WUSA9 in Washington, D.C.
Reporting to VP and Station Manager Michael Valentine, Hernandez has excelled in bringing more diversity to the newsroom while ensuring that the local newscasts offer viewers unique and informative content they can’t get anywhere else.
