The Media World Pauses To Remember Robert FX Sillerman

In 1986, the parent company of Radio Ink and RBR+TVBR, Streamline Publishing, was founded by Chairman Eric Rhoads with the purchase of The Pulse of Radio magazine.


The man selling the publication: Robert FX Sillerman.

Now, many in the broadcast media and electronic dance music (EDM) world are remembering Sillerman — a colorful figure who greatly transformed the radio business by ushering in mega-deals leading to rapid consolidation.

Sillerman died Sunday of respiratory illness. He was 71.
