Here’s my business card, okay great here’s mine. Okay perfect, well nice to meet you. Oh wait what do you do for a living? Networking events. The place where we used to hand out and receive as many business cards as we could get our hands on and in exchange give out twice as many. What’s the end result at least in my experience? A bunch of people short selling themselves instead of trying to find one or two deeper connections that could to a potential relationship or partnership.
I believe the possibilities of a new age networking world are upon us. Throw out the yellow pages and happy hour networking events. If you really want to find some new ways to grow your business and find new opportunities there are some up and coming areas that may work better.
