On January 3, 2020, a low-power digital television operation resumed operations on digital channel 21 in one of the biggest media markets in the U.S. Notification of this activity was sent to the FCC by Fletcher Heald & Hildreth counsel Kathleen Victory on behalf of the licensee for the station, Joseph Bernstein.
As of today, Bernstein remains in control of the station. Yet, the FCC also acknowledges him as its “Former Receiver.”
How is that possible? That’s exactly what the legal counsel for the party that lost control of this Philadelphia LPTV station wants an answer to — and has wanted one for nearly three years.
