Ed Markey’s House Commerce subcommittee is not wasting any time, now that Congress is back in session and also planning to exit ASAP to hit the campaign trail. His Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet is going to delve into the DTV transition on Tuesday 9/16/08. It comes as no surprise the Senate Commerce Committee will also be getting into the act. They’ll hold a hearing on the same topic the following Tuesday, 9/23/08 at 2:30 PM.
RBR/TVBR observation: Great! That gives two legislative panels the opportunity to cough up more cash for DTV publicity than the pittance Congress has allocated so far.
