Entertainment Media Trust will pay $600K for KRFT-AM University Park MO, just on the outskirts of St. Louis, giving it an AM triple play in the Gateway City.
The seller is Andrew Saltzman’s Big Stick Three LLC. He’ll be getting cash at closing, held by a $60K escrow deposit.
KRFT is a Sports station and brings the format into the market over 1190 kHz. It will join two stations already in EMT’s fold. Licensed to St. Louis proper is KZQZ-AM, uses 1430 kHz to bring Oldies and Talk programming into the market; and WXOZ-AM, licensed across the Mississippi River in Highland IL, does Classic Country over 1510 kHz.
