She’s twice been awarded the Radio & Records award as Network Executive of the Year, earning the honor in 2006 and 2007.

Since 2014, she’s been an independent marketing and media sales consultant working with DirecTV, Cox Media Group, and ABC Radio.

The latter entity’s relationship with Skyview Networks could have played a role in her new duties: Amy Bolton has been named Manager of Affiliate Sales for CBS News Radio.

The appointment follows an agreement forged Aug. 2 that will see the distribution, inventory management and sales of CBS News Radio and its associated programming shift from Cumulus-owned Westwood One to Skyview Networks as of Jan. 1, 2018.

Bolton will spearhead CBS News Radio’s “drive to enlist the hundreds of current CBS News Radio affiliates for its new in-house affiliation network,” CBS said in a Wednesday announcement.

“CBS News Radio is the gold standard in original radio journalism and this is a dream job,” Bolton said. “I’m thrilled to be part of the next phase of this award-winning organization and deliver our affiliates the highest quality programming.”

From Sept. 2008-Jan. 2014, Bolton served as the SVP/News and Talk at Westwood One, where she was responsible for managing a sales team overseeing 35 products including CBS News Radio, NBC News, CNBC and The Weather Channel.

Previously, Bolton spent close to a decade as VP/Affiliate Sales, News/Talk for Dial Global and its predecessor, Jones Radio Networks.
