Three station/three party NM TV deal closes

The sale of MNT KASY Albuquerque, CW KWBQ Santa Fe and KWBQ satellite KRWB Roswell by ACME Television has crossed the finish line. LIN Television is getting the lion’s share of related assets, but Tamer Media is getting the license. LIN owns CBS KRQE and Fox KASA in the DMA.

According to CobbCorp., which brokered the deal, the FCC approved the deal and it closed shortly thereafter.

Tamer, headed by John S. Viall Jr., is bearing $1,732,500, or 10%, of the total value of the transaction, which went into the books at $17,325,000.

LIN will provide sales for the stations under a JSA and holds an option to purchase them should the regulatory climate change to the point where such a transaction would be legal.
