Thursday winners: 'Idol' and ABC's '20/20' Royal Wedding special

Following the 20/20 special The Royal Wedding: A Modern Fairytale (1.3/4), ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy (3.5/9) and Private Practice (2.2/6) were low, down -29% and -19%, respectively, from their last original telecasts on 3/31/11.


American Idol at FOX was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Teens and in the 8p hour beat the next highest rated network (CBS) by +96% in the core adult demo and +109% in Total Viewers.

On CBS, Big Bang Theory (3.2/10, down -14%) posted its lowest original rating in nearly three years (since Mon 5/19/08).

Rules Of Engagement (2.3/6, down -12%) delivered its lowest rating this season, while CSI (2.3/6, down -21%) posted its lowest original rating ever. The Mentalist (2.6/7, down -13%) was low at 10p.

On NBC, Community (1.5/5) was up +7%, followed by a repeat of The Office at 830p (1.5/4).

From 9-10p, Steve Carell’s final episode on The Office combined with 8 minutes of Parks & Recreation posted a 4.1/10. The remainder of Parks & Recreation delivered a 2.3/6 at 10p and 30 Rock closed the night with a 1.9/5 at 1030p,m down -14% from last week.
