Cox Media Group has named Tim Clarke as its new Director of Digital Audience for Radio, effective immediately.  In this role, Clarke will be the liaison between CMG’s radio and digital divisions to help drive the digital brand strategy and product development for growing audience and engagement at all CMG’s radio stations.

“We have some of the more cutting edge efforts in the digital space, and it is exciting to be able to dedicate one of our best talents to that effort,” said Kim Guthrie, Executive VP of Radio. “We are evolving our super brands into the digital future, and Tim will play an instrumental role in that overall success.”

“Tim is superb at reading our audiences and understanding what new digital technology can accomplish those needs,” said Steve Smith, CMG’s VP of Radio Programming. I am so excited about having Tim on board in this critical new role with CMG.”

Prior to his new role, Clarke was Program Director for HOT 101.5 and Director of Social Media for all six CMG Tampa stations. While in Tampa, Clarke helped launch HOT 101.5 in 2011, and the station has been a consistent top ratings and revenue player in the market since inception.  Other career highlights include program Director at WAPE Jacksonville, FL, and Music Director at WBLI Long Island.

“The digital future for CMG’s super brands is extremely bright and filled with tons of opportunity to engage our audiences in even deeper, more personalized and more meaningful ways. I’m looking forward to working with our teams to serve our users on these growing platforms.”

As part of its focus on digital, this summer CMG launched new online apps in partnership with LDR Interactive (www.LDRinteractive.com) to extend its 33 music radio brands to listeners no matter where they are or what they are doing.

CMG Tampa will begin the search immediately for Clarke’s successor as the next Program Director for Hot 101.5.  The successful candidate will build upon the great brand in one of America’s most highly-competitive CHR markets. Those interested should send resumes to [email protected].
