Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment, the co-organizers of the famous Ball Drop, are once again offering HD satellite and fiber feeds of the celebration from Times Square in New York on December 31.

It is also offering TV news organizations coverage of the behind-the-scenes preparations leading up to the big night.

This includes the December 26 numeral installation atop One Times Square, the December 27 Crystal Installation, the December 28 “Good Riddance Day,” a December 29 confetti test, and a December 30 Ball Test and Balloon Preparation.

New for the 2020 celebration is the offering of social media-ready content of these preparations, including photos and short videos with background music and captions.

All Dec. 31 live feeds are clean and uninterrupted with no bug or logo.

They are available free of charge to domestic and international media organizations and will feature exclusive panoramic views from proprietary camera locations with the ambient and natural sounds of the revelers, showcasing the lighting and raising of the famous New Year’s Ball, hourly countdowns, a musical performance from X Ambassadors and the famous Ball Drop at midnight.

In particular, X Ambassadors will be singing “Renegades,” “Unsteady” and the now-annual performance of John Lennon’s “Imagine” at midnight.

Jonathan Bennett will host the organization’s New Year’s Eve webcast, accompanied by street correspondents Andrea Boehlke and Jeremy Hassel.

Pre-event coverage will be available via download, featuring 16 x 9 HD broadcast quality video, B-Roll footage (encoded as H.264), broadcast and web quality pre-packaged EPKs, social media shareables, photos and press releases.
