Tips To Turn Podcast Potential Into Podcast Profits

In the first half of 2018, almost one out of five of the $935 million advertising dollars spent on digital audio was allocated to podcasts, according to the Interactive Advertising Bureau and PwC. That’s $168.3 million, a whopping 18 percent, to be precise. It was also a 50 percent increase compared to the same period in 2017.

Let that sink in.

Then, ask yourself how much revenue your station is generating from podcasting.

If you’re trying to figure out how to turn podcast potential into podcast profits, you aren’t alone, and you don’t have to trust your podcast plans to trial and error.

There’s perhaps a better way, one that will fill your play book for generating podcast revenue with solid ideas, information, and inspiration.

It’s called “Podcasting for Radio Dummies,” a popular podcast series on everything you need to know about podcasting — from content creation to sales, marketing, and tech tips. And, it takes to the stage at the Hispanic Radio Conference, March 12-13 in Miami. It’s one of many sessions designed to help you hit budgets and bottom lines.

Moderated by Ed Ryan, editor-in-chief of Radio Ink and editorial director of Podcast Business Journal, and Kim Ryan, co-host of Fort Myers, Fla., based “Beach Talk Radio,” this panel will tackle podcasting from every angle, answering questions about the exploding world of audio’s hot new platform.

If you or your station is doing podcasts, or thinking about it, here’s one session you won’t want to miss.

The Hispanic Radio Conference is the only conference dedicated solely to Hispanic radio. Now in its 10th year, the conference attracts the industry’s key leadership in management, sales, and programming, whose combined audience reaches approximately 95 percent of the 59+ million Hispanics in this country.
