The Electric Beverage Company announced its All Natural Title Sports Drink, distributed by Blue Gem Enterprise is now on the shelves of Walgreens Stores in Greater Orlando. Commercials are now airing on several Central Florida radio stations. The marketing blitz in the Orlando area also includes grass roots, cause related and entertainment related marketing.

VP of Marketing Matthew Hatchette tells RBR-TVBR this effort started in South Florida (HQ of Blue Gem) on radio stations including 99 Jamz (including their  Jingle Ball). He couldn’t get us the actual list of all stations used in Orlando and SoFla at the time because he is off site at meetings, but did say that next in line for the campaign (still using radio) is Tampa and Jacksonville, pretty much simultaneously with Orlando. On March 1, they will start distribution into Georgia and Alabama. After that, it’s North and South Carolina. “Our plan within the next six months is to go throughout the whole Southeast for distribution and will do that market by market. We are six months ahead of schedule – everything in South Florida happened so fast. It’s a good thing, we’re not complaining.”

Moving forward, they are taking the same game plan with radio into the other markets. “Radio has worked well for us. Because a lot of advertisers have cut back on budgets –especially soft drinks like Pepsi and Coca Cola and all they way up to car dealerships — we were able to use that as a great negotiating tool going in. We got good rates, so that is a big piece of our ad spend. We’re doing TV as well using some local athletes and celebs from The Orlando Magic and Jacksonville Jaguar players. We’ll do a little bit of television, but a lot of radio.”

Title Sports Drink launched in South Florida stores in September and has increased its distribution monthly to now include Publix, Walgreens, Navarro, Sedano’s and Bravo Stores, along with hundreds of independents across the region. Title so far has been endorsed by some of South Florida’s most recognized professional athletes including Ronnie Brown and Vontae Davis of the Miami Dolphins, Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers of the Miami Heat, All Pro Wide Receiver Terrell Owens and Hall of Fame Linebacker Lawrence Taylor.
