Even as she competes on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” reality TV star Kate Gosselin has been working up a new project with TLC. The network announced that “Twist of Kate” will air this fall.
Gosselin no longer needs to put her kids or ex-husband on camera for this new series. Rather, she will travel around the country to find out how other people juggle work, family and all the other challenges life throws at them. “In each episode, she’ll walk a mile in someone else’s shoes – meeting real families in the middle of their own extraordinary challenges. She’ll try out their jobs…see how their home life runs… see what they’re up against… and find out what they do to let off steam. Each family will have some unique circumstance that is a story in itself. As Kate gets to know them she’ll roll up her sleeves and see what she can do to help,” TLC said in a blurb for the Upfront pitching the new series.
If you’ve only recently returned from a long vacation on a distant planet, the breakup of Gosselin’s marriage was headline news and drew record audiences for “Jon & Kate Plus Eight.” TLC says “Kate Plus Eight” will continue as “limited specials following the lively brood on some fun adventures.”
Meanwhile, Jon is, well…mostly out of the picture, except when he finds a new reason to sue Kate.
