This is a national promotion, running mostly on FOX stations in conjunction with TMZ TV station affiliates. Promotional support also includes spot cable media in 12 markets (NY, LA, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Boston, Washington D.C., Houston, Phoenix, Tampa, Miami and Minneapolis).
Radio promotions will also occur in 15 key markets (NY, LA, Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Tampa, Dallas, Miami, Denver, St. Louis, Baltimore, San Diego, Washington D.C., Kansas City and Norfolk). It is a 1-2 week radio promotion (over $250k in on-air promotional value) that leverages the prizing, in exchange for radio mentions. "We brought in prize/promotional partners (emusic and MyVu eyewear) fitting with the show and media format that are compatible with the TMZ brand. Our radio partners will drive TMZ on TV tune-in messaging and create radio promotions that reward their listeners for watching TMZ,” said Clint Manny, VP, Marketing, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. Given the promotional copy points that we provided each station, our radio partners drive TMZ on TV tune-in messaging to create radio on-air promotions to reward their listeners for watching TMZ.
In addition, the “TMZ” Mobile web site will feature mobile banners supporting the “TMZ” “Get Paid to Party” Sweepstakes.
“In working with the show, we created the “GET PAID TO PARTY Sweepstakes,” having fun with the idea that celebrities often literally “get paid to party…” attending well-known events, making club appearances, etc. for a fee. Why not offer our viewers the same opportunity?” said Susan Kantor, EVP, Marketing, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
