From October 2001 through October of this year, Jeff Luckoff was synonymous with a group of Motor City radio stations including Top 40 leader WKQI “Channel 95.5,” WNIC-FM and Adult R&B WMXD “Mix 92.3.”

Now, he’s surfaced in a different Michigan market, and has taken a role with Townsquare Media.

As of today, Luckoff is now Market President and Chief Revenue Officer for Townsquare’s
Grand Rapids properties.

The Townsquare radio stations in the market are comprised of WGRD-FM, WLHT-FM, WFGR-FM, WNWZ “Magic 104.9″ and WTRV-FM.

He reports to SVP Todd Lawley, who said, “Jeff’s leadership and market knowledge will be instrumental in unlocking the full potential of our Grand Rapids cluster by leveraging our ‘Local First’ strategy, our market leading brands, our incredible audience engagement, and our world class digital and broadcast solutions. Jeff has a consistent record of winning at all levels and will provide the strategic leadership that made his teams so successful throughout the states of Michigan and Ohio to Townsquare Grand Rapids.”

Luckoff said he was “elated” to join Townsquare. “The people, platform and products are ideal in helping us serve the Grand Rapids market by providing local advertisers with the radio and digital marketing solutions that will help propel their business, as well as entertaining and informing our community with relevant, local content.”

Before joining iHeart right after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Luckoff spent 6 1/2 years overseeing the Detroit National Office as Director of Sales for the former CBS Radio.

Grand Rapids is the No. 68-ranked market according to Nielsen Audio. Of the Townsquare stations, Rocker WGRD is the ratings leader, and is ranked No. 4 overall in the October 2020 ratings. It competes against iHeartMedia and Cumulus Media in the market.
