“The Bill Cunningham Show” is heading toward a national launch this Fall. Tribune Broadcasting announced a production partnership with ITV Studios America to produce the new daytime talk show.

The Bill Cunningham Show will air on Tribune stations nationwide, including WPIX-TV New York, KTLA-TV Los Angeles and WGN-TV Chicago, beginning in Fall 2011. But rather than the original plan to film in Chicago, ITV Studios America will produce the show with a live audience at NEP Penn Studios in Manhattan.

The 60-minute program hosted by Bill Cunningham, an attorney and nationally syndicated talk radio host, will air Monday through Friday in daytime beginning September. The talk format will be topically driven, featuring a broad array of thought-provoking subjects.

Kim Brechka has been named Executive Producer of the new talker. Brechka previously served as Co-Executive Producer of “The Montel Williams Show” and has a long career history in the daytime talk format.

“As an attorney, highly rated radio host and family man, Bill brings a unique perspective to the everyday problems viewers around the country are facing,” said Sean Compton, President of Programming and Entertainment for Tribune Broadcasting. “‘The Bill Cunningham Show’ is an opportunity for Tribune to get back into original programming production and will be a strong complement to the successful daytime talk programs currently airing on Tribune stations.”

“Tribune Broadcasting is an ideal partner for ITV Studios America in this venture, with a long history of quality talk programming and a strong station line up,” ITV Studios America CEO Paul Buccieri added. “Bill is an insightful and popular personality and we look forward to introducing him to a bigger and broader audience.”
