Two Local TV (Oak Hill) Fox affiliates and two Tribune CW affiliates will be joining forces via an LMA and an SSA. The local marketing agreement will be in force in Denver, where Local’s KDVR-TV will link to Trib’s KWGN-TV; the shared services agreement will take effect in St. Louis, linking Local’s KTVI-TV with Trib’s KPLR-TV. “These arrangements enable us to create efficiencies between the FOX and CW affiliates in each market to serve the local community like never before,” commented Tribune’s Ed Wilson. Local TV’s Bobby Lawrence added, “The television industry is on the cusp of change. The internet, mobile, TiVo and alternative distribution channels are growing forms of content distribution. As our audience finds new ways to get content we need to streamline our delivery costs and provide more local programming, news and community information.”
