Tribune Broadcasting today announced the appointment of Patty Golden as Vice President/Sales, responsible for developing, implementing and executing the sales growth strategies for Tribune Broadcasting’s 42 owned or operated television stations. Golden, who earlier in her media career was the Local Sales Manager for WGN-TV and CLTV in Chicago, returns to Tribune and begins her new duties on April 14. Golden will report to Angela Betasso, Tribune Broadcasting’s SVP, Sales.

Golden, a seasoned sales executive, joins Tribune from NBC5 in Chicago where she served as Senior Vice President of Sales since 2005, responsible for the sales management and revenue for the station and its digital properties. Prior to her post at NBC, Golden was a consultant for Meredith Broadcasting.

“Patty is a dynamic and strategic sales leader, well known in the industry for delivering successful media strategies and solutions to advertisers, and inspiring sales teams.  Patty will be an incredible asset to Tribune and I look forward to having her join the team,” said Betasso.

“I am thrilled to be joining the new Tribune team. It is an amazing group of assets and people who share a great vision,” said Golden.

Golden has held key committee roles at TVB including the Executive Selling Advisory Committee and the Selling Advisory Committee.
