Tribune signs up with Rentrak

TribuneTelevision group Tribune has become the latest company to become a client of ratings service Rentrak. The service will be utilized in the 33 markets where Tribune has a presence.


According to Rentrak, it will be providing its full slate of services to the group, including demographics pertaining to the automotive and political categories.

“In today’s rapidly changing media landscape, our partnership with Rentrak will provide us with consumer behavior insight from a significant measurement footprint in each market,” said Larry Wert, president of broadcast media for Tribune Broadcasting. “Rentrak’s data will help our stations make more informed decisions and provide our clients with detailed audience viewing information.”

“We are very excited by our new partnership with Tribune Broadcasting and are eager to work closely with all of their stations in accurately measuring their strong and varied audiences,” said Steve Walsh, Rentrak’s executive vice president of local television.
