Trinity adds Columbus

Paul Crouch’s Trinity Christian Center of Santa Ana, which operates the Trinity Broadcasting Network, is expanding into the Columbus, OH market. It has a deal to acquire independent WSJF-TV (analog 51/DTV 24) Newark, OH from Guardian Enterprise Group, headed by President Richard Schilg. Trinity will pay $16 million for the station, with $800K escrowed and the balance in cash at closing. The FCC application notes that WSJF’s DTV signal has a tiny contour overlap with the DTV contour of Trinity’s WDLI-TV Cleveland.
