On April 20, 2016, a talk radio programming syndication company based in the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon filed an antitrust complaint against the nation’s No. 2 radio broadcasting company and its national syndication arm.
The action against Cumulus Media and Westwood One generated dozens of headlines across the radio industry’s trade press. Yet, the action taken by Talk Radio Network Enterprises LLC was ultimately dismissed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Judge that approved Cumulus’ reorganization plan.
Don’t think for a minute that the battle started by Mark Masters more than two years ago has entered its final phase.
