Talk Radio Network announced a partnership with Simmons Media Group and their new talker in Little Rock, KDXE-AM. The former ESPN affiliate on 1380 went back on the air 11/2 with a lineup of nearly all TRN shows including: The Michael Savage Show, The Laura Ingraham Show, The Dr. Laura Program, The Jerry Doyle Show, America’s Morning News, The Rusty Humphries Show and The Phil Hendrie Show.  Talk Radio Network’s all-star line-up will now be heard in Little Rock on this new station, which has taken the name “Big Talk…Little Rock.”

“We are very pleased that Talk Radio Network has chosen Simmons Media to partner with in the launch of ‘Big Talk…Little Rock’ on KDXE AM 1380,” says Simmons Media Group, President, Craig Henson.  He continues by saying, “TRN has today’s cutting edge talent to provide Simmons with the tools necessary to compete in today’s talk radio battle.”

Prior to flipping to the News/Talk format, KDXE recently signed off the air after attempting ESPN’s sports format. With only one other News/Talk station in the Little Rock’s 85th ranked metro area; both TRN and Simmons felt as though there was plenty of room for another News/Talk station especially with TRN’s proven track record of outstanding programming.

“Most markets can sustain 17.5 shares of spoken word radio, but Little Rock is way under that threshold,” says Phil Boyce, President of Programming, TRN. “We are delighted to help Simmons get back in the game with KDXE using TRN’s roster of talented hosts.  TRN is the only company capable of delivering a full turn-key talk operation to one radio station.”
