Townsquare Salutes Bob Price, a Wyoming Legend Shifting Roles

In the words of Townsquare Media Local Media COO Erik Hellum, he is “honestly one of the best local broadcasters I have ever met (and a truly wonderful human being).

This leader has been been leading what is today the company’s Casper, Wyoming, station group since 1968. Now, he’s stepping away from the Market President role — but isn’t retiring.

Bob Price is shifting to the role of VP of Community Partnerships for the stations, as Casper-based National VP of Digital Tom McCarthy has been selected to succeed him.

That will transpire shortly, but before the end of 2020, Hellum says.

“I am happy that someone like Bob, who has given so much to the community and our company, will still be plugged in, and also that we were able to promote from within as Tom is really a rising star,” he tells RBR+TVBR.

Bob Price

Price is described as a “beloved morning show host, charity advocate, public speaker and fundraiser.”

In a statement, Townsquare adds, “Bob quite literally has done it all, and has impacted countless lives and careers over the years. His legacy reaches from our current halls, to a number of his pupils spread across radio and television stations, national newsrooms,
networks and sales operations around the globe.”

Townsquare Media SVP Kevin Godwin commented, “I’ve had the good fortune to work with Bob over the past few years and his passion for media, broadcast and our local community in Casper is unparalleled. He has undoubtedly confirmed why so many of us love what we do. I’m thrilled that Bob will continue to contribute his many talents and
experience as Tom begins his own journey in leading our team. Tom’s tremendous skill set, his relationships and desire to build upon Townsquare Media Casper’s stellar reputation and deep community connection made it an easy choice as to who should succeed Bob in this role.”
