Last night FOX delivered the No. 1 and No. 2 programs of the night with AMERICAN IDOL and GLEE, dominating the night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Teens and all key demos. In fact, FOX outperformed its nearest competition for the night by +90% among Adults 18-49, +100% among Adults 18-34, +143% among Teens and +4% in Total Viewers.
AMERICAN IDOL:
At 8pm, the Top 3 on AMERICAN IDOL posted a 6.6/18 among Adults 18-49, similar to last week (6.8/18).
AMERICAN IDOL dominated its 8p hour among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Teens and all key demos, showing advantages over its nearest competitors of +106% among Adults 18-49, +113% among Adults 18-34, +113% among Teens and +17% in Total Viewers.
So far this season, AMERICAN IDOL’s Most Current ratings vs. the comparable Most Current weeks last year show 92% retention among Adults 18-49, 91% among Adults 18-34, 92% among Teens and 92% in Total Viewers.
GLEE:
At 9p, GLEE posted a 4.8/12 among Adults 18-49 and delivered the same ratings as last week in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Total Viewers. GLEE was the highest rated program of the night in Teens (tied with American Idol.).
GLEE won the 9p hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34/25-54, Teens and all key female demos. In head to head competition in the 9p hour, GLEE outperformed its nearest competitors by +17% among Adults 18-49, +21% among Adults A18-34 and +89% among Teens.
So far this spring GLEE has outperformed its prior Fall season originals average (Wed 9p) by +55% among Adults 18-49 (5.1/13 vs. 3.3/9), +42% among Adults 18-34 (5.1/15 vs. 3.6/11), +58% among Teens (3.8/12 vs. 2.4/9) and +68% among Total Viewers (12.3 vs. 7.3 Mil.)
Competition
ABC’s Dancing With The Stars results show (2.5/7) was in line with its installment average, which is down -21% from its comparable performance last spring (2.6/7 vs. 3.3/8). Lost (4.1/10) was on par and the season finale of V (2.3/6) matched its prior average.
On CBS, NCIS (3.2/9), NCIS: LA (3.1/8) and The Good Wife (2.3/6) were all down from last week, losing -18%, -6% and -4%, respectively.
NBC’s The Biggest Loser 9 (3.1/8) was down -9% week over week, while Parenthood (2.6/7) was flat from last week.
