Tuesday 'The Biggest Loser: Couples' ranked #2 in 18-49


For the night, NBC is #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49.

From 8-10 p.m. ET, “The Biggest Loser: Couples” (2.6/7 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and nearly all other key demographics in a time period that included competition from ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” and the season premiere of “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution,” CBS’s “NCIS” and “NCIS: LA” and Fox’s rebroadcast of “Glee.” 

From its first half-hour to its fourth, “Biggest Loser” grew by 26 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.9 from a 2.3) and by 11 percent in total viewers (7.7 million vs. 6.9 million).

At 10 p.m., “Parenthood” (2.0/5 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall) delivered its highest 18-49 and total-viewer results since February 22 (pending updates).  In the time period, “Parenthood” is #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-34 (tie), men 18-34 and women 18-34 (tie). 

These “Parenthood” results are likely to increase substantially when Nielsen issues “live plus seven day” results for the week of April 4-10. 

Through the season’s first 26 weeks, “Parenthood” added an average 41 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported “live plus same day” ratings to its “live plus seven day” results, the #2 percentage increase among all primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW.
