A rise in US housing starts and better economic news from Europe put Wall Street traders in a better mood on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 337 points, or 2.9%, to 12,104. Nearly all broadcasting stocks were higher.
The RBR Radio Index was up 5.390, or 1.9%, to 292.846.
The TVBR Television Index was up 9.643, or 4.3%, to 234.843.
