TV Ancillary, Supplementary Services Reports Due

FCCThe FCC has reminded television owners who have digital operations they must file a report on ancillary and supplementary services by Dec. 1.

There’s also a 5% fee on gross revenue due for those services.

Wilkinson Barker Knauer Attorney David Oxenford reminds us that “Ancillary and supplemental services do not include non-subscription video channels delivered directly to the public, but would include any other services proved over the station’s spectrum from which the station receives compensation, including “computer software distribution, data transmissions, teletext, interactive materials, aural messages, paging services, or audio signals, [and] subscription video.”

All stations must file a report (using FCC Form 2100 Schedule G), even to state that they do not receive this revenue.
