A group of writers with a set of hot resumes has come together to pen the pilot of a new sitcom offering – “A$PEN the Series” – aimed at the 18-34 crowd. The show says it brings together the entertainment value of programs like “Glee’ and the sexual tensions of reality programming in a scripted format crafted by veteran TV scribes.

The premise: The Greg T. Simmons/GTS Productions creation “showcases Aspen and the shenanigans of its cool, sexy beautiful people.  They are shown as wealthy spoiled brats loving hard, skiing hard, and having huge bank accounts.”

The writing squad is headed by Lawrence H. Levy (Seinfeld, Who’s the Boss, Facts of Life and Seventh Heaven) Stanley Wilson, who produced Kelsey Grammer’s Down Periscope, David Garber, (Saved by the Bell) and David Litt (King of Queens).

The pilot includes cameos from Paris Hilton, Carmen Electra and others.

Producer Greg Simmons states, “It’s not a reality show. It’s scripted sitcom about creating and living in a reality show in Aspen. Exit polls show fans of Entourage, Sex and the City, and Californication love this show.”
