A group of media organizations and press groups are protesting a proposed California bill to ban the use of drones in newsgathering, something a budget-minded broadcast executive would want to know.
California Senate Bill 142 would make it a violation to fly a drone below 350 feet above private property without permission from the owner or tenant.
