TV Guide Network is on pitch and ready to hit the high notes with three nights of programming dedicated to celebrating “American Idol’s” highly anticipated season nine finale. Fan-favorite Idol alums Justin Guarini (Idol season one runner-up) and Brooke White (Idol season seven top-five finalist) have signed on to host TV Guide Network’s Idol celebration, including the two-hour live finale Red Carpet special “Idol: Live at the Finale” premiering Wednesday, May 26 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
Brooke White joins TV Guide Network’s Idol Red Carpet team for the first time this season, co-hosting alongside returning host Justin Guarini. White won over the nation during “American Idol” season seven with her musical talent and her warm, friendly demeanor. “‘American Idol’ gave me the opportunity to connect with people in their own living rooms, reaching millions worldwide… it changed my life forever,” says White, who took time away from promoting her album High Hopes & Heartbreak to host the finale week specials. “I am thrilled to be back on the Idol Red Carpet with TV Guide Network, celebrating the end of yet another amazing Idol season.” Guarini, who is currently working on his third record, said of White, “Brooke is an amazing performer and such a sweet person to be around. Her smile and personality will make our Red Carpet guests instantly comfortable while we interview them on the big night.”
TV Guide Network’s Idol finale week programming lineup includes:
“Idol: Countdown to the Winner” premieres Tuesday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT – TV Guide Network hosts Justin Guarini and Brooke White are live outside the Nokia Theatre right before the final two contestants take to the stage for their final performances of the season. Idol experts chime in to handicap the competition and look back at the season, while Justin and Brooke offer fans a sneak peek at the Wednesday night finale.
