TVB: Local OTA TV Political Dollars Smash Records


You may have been sick of political ad after political ad while watching TV over the last several weeks. But, that was a bonanza for local broadcast TV’s bank accounts.

Total spending on political advertisements on local broadcast television in 2018 set an all-time record for a midterm cycle— and any previous election cycle — based on Kantar Media/CMAG data released late Wednesday by the Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB).
