Last night, AMERICAN IDOL: IDOL GIVES BACK posted a 5.7/16 from 8-10:24 and won the night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Teens and all key demos, showing an advantage of +217% over the next highest-rated network among Adults 18-49, +207% among Adults 18-34, +457% among Teens and +169% among Total Viewers. Compared to the last IDOL GIVES BACK two years ago on 4/9/08 at 8p, last night’s telecast declined -16% among Adults 18-49 but increased +3% in Total Viewers.
AMERICAN IDOL’s Tue/Wed average this week outperformed ABC’s Dancing With The Stars Mon/Tue average by +57% among Adults 18-49 and +3% in Total Viewers.
ABC ran repeats of The Middle at 8p (1.4/4) and 830p (1.6/5), repeats of Modern Family at 9p (2.2/6) and 930p (2.0/5) and repeats of Cougar Town at 10p (1.3/4) and 1030p (1.2/4).
On CBS, The New Adventures Of Old Christine (1.5/5) and Accidentally on Purpose (1.6/5) both delivered their lowest originals ever, down -12% and -16%, respectively, from their last originals. Criminal Minds (1.8/5) and CSI: NY (1.4/4) were repeats.
NBC’s Mercy (1.2/4) posted its lowest original rating to date, down -8% from its last original and -29% from its prior season average with first-run episodes (1.7/5). Following an SVU repeat (1.4/4) at 9p, an original episode of Law & Order: SVU (2.7/8) was on par at 10p.
