That’s the word from Longview News-Journal.com. A 25M agreement is sending CBS KYTX-FM 19 from Max Media of Texas to London Broadcasting Company. KYTX also has an associated digital channel known as MYTX-TV-18 that is said to focus on local and regional sports programming. This is the first strike from LBC, which was formed last fall for the purpose of acquiring TV stations. It has five other southwestern stations in its sights right now and is hoping to have ten in its portfolio within two years. According to the News-Journal, not only is KYTX exec Phil Hurley staying on to run the station, he is also picking up a stake in LBC.
